Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Chunks

In this easy pumpkin bread recipe, moist perfectly spiced pumpkin bread becomes even more delicious when we add in lots of rich chocolate chunks. The result combines two favorite seasonal flavors - pumpkin and chocolate - in one moist, tender bite. Make a few loaves for yourself and some to give as holiday gifts, too!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 4 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Spray pans with non stick spray or grease with oil.
  • In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs, oil, and water.
  • In separate bowl combine allĀ  dry ingredients.
  • Gradually add dry mixture to wet. Stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into prepared pans.
  • Bake until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool on wire rack 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
