Outrageous Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

These Outrageous Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies from Martha Stewart are soft, chewy chocolate cookies with oozing melted chocolate chips in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate roughly chopped
  • 4 oz. unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Place chopped chocolate and butter in a small bowl over boiling water on the stove.
  • Heat chocolate until smooth.
  • In another bowl mix flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • In a mixing bowl beat the eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract on high speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low and beat in melted chocolate.
  • Stir in flour mixture until just combined.
  • Add chocolate chips.
  • Drop heaping spoonfuls onto baking sheets line with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, rotating the baking pans half way through.
  • Cool on sheets for 10 minutes and then remove to baking rack.

Notes

The cookie batter will appear wetter than you might expect but don't worry, it's supposed to be! That's why you have to drop it by the spoonful. 
Be sure to leave enough room between cookies as they will expand a bit during cooking.
