  • Whole milk
  • Heavy cream

  • Raspberry liqueur (I recommend Chambord)

How to Make Raspberry Hot Chocolate

This recipe is adapted from Food Network.

  1. Combine everything except the liqueur in a small saucepan and place over medium-low heat.
  2. Whisk occasionally until chocolate is melted, about 2 minutes.
  3. Continue to cook, whisking frequently until smooth and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in liqueur.
  5. Top with marshmallows and serve immediately.

Tips & Variations

  • Swap the garnish. Try some chocolate shavings or a spoonful of whipped cream.
  • Make it kid-friendly. Replace the raspberry liqueur with non-alcoholic raspberry syrup.
  • Switch the liqueur. Try Kirsch cherry liqueur for a change.

  • 6 ounces dark chocolate finely chopped or 6 oz 60% Ghiradelli bittersweet chips
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder I use Droste
  • 3 TBSP raspberry liqueur recommended Chambord

For optional garnish:

  • Snowmen and candy cane marshmallows optional, or other garnishes
