This recipe is originally from Go go go Gourmet.

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave chocolates and butter together in 30 second increments, stirring after each 30 increment until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  2. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Add powdered sugar to the bowl of a stand mixture fitted with a whisk attachment.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the powdered sugar while the mixer is running.

This frosting will last for up to 4 days if refrigerated in an airtight container. You’ll need to bring it to room temperature again before using it as frosting. You can freeze it in an airtight freezer container for up to 2 months.
