While visiting Milwaukee recently, my mom gave me a bag of kettle corn that had dark and white chocolate drizzled on it. Normally I do not like kettle corn, but I loved this stuff. I cannot tell you the name of the company because I ate the whole bag and threw it away. But, I did manage to duplicate it.

Friday, after going to an appointment, I ran into Trader Joe’s. You know the saying, “never go to the store hungry?” It was almost embarrassing the things I was hastily throwing into the cart. My plan was to tell the check-out person I was having a party if any comment was made.

One of the items that found its way into the cart was the Trader Joe’s Kettle Corn, and its companion package of “Movie” popcorn and from that outing this delicious and tasty treat was born.

Now, you can make your own kettle corn, or you can just use a pre-made bag as did, which makes this the easiest thing you will ever make. I prefer the Trader Joe’s Kettle Corn because it is just lightly sweetened and you can still taste a hint of the salt.

Can it get any easier? You can stir your chocolate to coat the kettle corn a bit more, which is what I did. It is not as pretty as if you just leave the drizzles of chocolate but I was a little impatient.

This is a great snack or even a nice little gift in a cute tin or Cello bag. I hope you try it!
