If you love chocolate chip cookies, there’s nothing like the original Nestle’s Toll House Cookies that are crunchy, soft, chocolatey, nutty, and deliciously nostalgic. These scrumptious cookies are always a hit, and perfect for everyday snacking, parties, picnics, and holiday events.
Is there anything better on a snowy, cold day than making chocolate chip cookies? I have fond memories of my mother making Nestle Toll House Cookies for us and today I decided to make my own.
I followed the recipe straight off the package with one exception, I added more chips because I like them with a lot of chocolate.
I actually did manage to bake a few before I ate about a quarter of the dough raw. That is not recommended because of the raw eggs but I can never resist.
I hope you are safe and warm and with power! Enjoy your day!

Tips & Variations
Add more chips. Add more (like I did) if you love super-chocolatey chocolate chip cookies.
Change the chips. Swap some for milk chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter, or mint-flavored chocolate chips.
Add more mix-ins. Try your favorite chocolate candies, different nuts like chopped pecans, hazelnuts, walnuts, or peanuts, coconut, M&M’s or Andes mints.
Storage
Store your cookies in a covered container in a cool place for up to 2 days, then refrigerate for up to 5 days. These cookies are best frozen when wrapped individually in plastic wrap, then stored in a sealed container for up to 3 months.
